Bueller?? Bueller??
Yes, I know I've been absent for quite some time. In fact, it's been almost three months since I've shared a real post and there are myriad reasons for that. I thank all of you who have gently nudged me to write again. This post has nothing of substance. It's sort of a "soft re-opening." I just wanted everyone to know we are still here and there is much to catch up on. My goal is to have all the gritty details up by next week. For those of you who are new to this site, please be advised that this blog is recommended for mature audiences only as it contains indecent language as well as explicit depictions of humanity during crisis.

I'm still with you, thinking of you, and certain of your spirit's strength through all this...
ReplyDeleteNot sure how to do this but have been following all of you since the beginning. Glad you are still keepin' on keepin' on. Hope all news is good and that you have been able to catch a break!!
DeleteThe indecent language is what I come for
ReplyDeleteRated -H- for Honest
ReplyDeleteGlad you are posting again. And glad that you are still here.
ReplyDeleteEverybody is fighting some kind of battle...There is strength in numbers. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love this post! There IS strength in numbers!
DeleteWe serve a KING who left behind an empty tomb. HE LIVES........
DeleteHappy Easter and many blessing to your family....
Glad to see a mini post.
ReplyDeleteStill praying for you and thinking about your family.
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear you are out there and still spunky :-)
ReplyDeleteOh no..nothing on this blog is indecent..your story is all about humanity and decency and real life. Your language is always fitting to the new chapter:)
ReplyDeletePlease post all the excessive humanity you want, and then some. We can handle it!
ReplyDeleteYah!!! Good to hear from you,we still think of you guys often and LOVE the "realness" of you:)
ReplyDeleteI think if I went thru what you did, I would be saying F, at least a hundred times a day or more..I pray for you often and continue to believe for good things for your lovely family. It was 5 years since my bc diagnosis yesterday. There is hope for us always!!Might have shared this once before but King David pitched his tent in the land of hope. My tent is pitched firmly in the land of hope...
ReplyDeleteI want you to know that I have been following your blog for over a year now and have been so touched and so inspired each and every time I read your journey. A week ago Thursday, March 1st, I knew there was a reason why I had found your blog... I was diagnosed with anal cancer. I am a teacher and plan to spend this next week, my Spring Break, getting a PET scan, EUS, the port implantation and having my initial consultation with my radiaton oncologist and colorectal surgeon. Your family is so strong and I hope that I can be just the same. Thank you for sharing so much of your life with those of us who have no idea how you have really touched our lives.

Lisa - I am just seeing this. I live in Taylor Lake Village. Call me and I can tell you what I and my friends did with THE FIGHT with cancer. Some things you personally can do can help for sure. Doctors all agree as well. Karen 281-291-9958
DeleteI have a contact - Dr Stephen Chaney, PHd who has run an active cancer research program for over 30 years and teaches 1st yr medical students about nutrition and wrote the book they use at Chapel Hill NC. Please call me and I will send you his talk about cancer via email.
DeleteHave been following your blog for a very long time.
ReplyDeleteJust keep us posted whenever you have a little time.
I hope things are progessing well with both of you.
Take Care
Barb
I suspect you have had more important things to attend to than posting all the time not to mention it's nice to be able to set 'it' aside once in a while & just live your life with your loving, brave husband & your sweet, beautiful daughter. To get through a day without talking about anything having to do with your illnesses is a special treat. Everybody needs a treat once in a while. It's good for the spirit, good for the soul. God bless!!

ReplyDeleteWe are still thinking of you all, praying for you and hoping that you are finding the time to enjoy one another and your sweet little girl. Think of you often, looking forward to you writing again!

PS - MY blog tells nothing of substance - your blog is amazing, inspirational, honest, real and full of emotion.
I am so glad to hear from you and by "gritty" details I you mean positive ones. You all are still in my thoughts and prayers daily! God bless the three of you!!! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy to see you are back! We all appreciate your authenticity!
ReplyDeleteOh yay!! A post is a post is a post! It is wonderful to "hear your voice" and to know that you guys are hanging in. Think of you evey single day. May God continue to Bless and Keep all of you.
ReplyDelete:) Chrisie
Looking forward to your update.
ReplyDeleteContinue to pray for your family - Blog or no Blog! Hope all is well with you guys!
ReplyDeleteCan you imagine the day you have the energy to cook, do the dishes, scrub the bathroom, do the laundry, love, teach, dress Sadie, make dinner and then go to a doctor's appointment and be really annoyed that you have to go to the doctor's appointment? May all those things come swiftly for you and Nathan.
ReplyDeleteI love your disclaimer. Eagerly awaiting the next update…ox
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear from you, again! I was checking everyday and almost thought you had given up the blogging business so I backed off, but it's so good to see you will update this again shortly. I sincerely hope you have all been doing well. Your pals, Vicki & her little dog, Blazer
ReplyDeleteAgain, hope all is well with your family! Much love!
ReplyDeleteWe need an update! :)

ReplyDeleteOh, and we miss you!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteVery much hope that you haven't been dealing with even more s**t!
ReplyDeleteKeep on keeping on x
Leng, are you REALLY asking for an update? I still remember when you slammed some lady hoping for an update last summer. You said:
ReplyDeleteLENG
Aug 11, 2011 10:56 AM
Rosa, they will give us an update when they can. They know we are concerned and praying for them and want to know. But we should encrouch upon their privacy with expectations they may not be comfortable sharing right now. They owe us nothing. They do not have to tell us anything. They have blessed us sharing their horrific ordeal. So lets not sound like the "National Enquirer" no matter how concerned we are and "want to know." Do you want to know because you really care, or you just curious? Shame on you for asking them to update us. How insensitive. Think please!
--------
So, Leng, I see your spirituality has taken you from bashing others to trying to make the Bonds feel guilty because you're praying all the time for them and they aren't reciprocating with enough news to satisfy you. Keep praying, you need it....
Yep! I am - shoot me because I love these people and pray for them and worry about them. It was in bad taste last year to ask for an update when they were so ill. Ellie is NED last time she updated and Nate was doing well. They are moving on with life. Yes, I want an update that things are still WONDERFUL FOR THEM - Unlike last year when their lives were in turmoil. Have the guts to write your name anonymous. I am not afraid to tell people who I am. And if you are the hack that has been harrassing and e-mailing me. I do have your IP and google is looking into you.
ReplyDeleteGrow-up. You are definitely spiritually dead.
Miss hearing from you! I hope you all are doing well!!!!
ReplyDeleteAs an outsider looking in, Anonymous wins the Anonymous vs LENG battle. Hypocrisy is not attractive LENG.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous you won't win. Cancer sucks and so do you. Bye, bye!!!! Go get a life you hypoctite calling the kettle black. Mind your own business. Go start your own blog and leave LENG the FUCK alone!
ReplyDeleteWow now LENG is talking to itself. They have medication for multiple personalities. You should call your physician.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for more posts. You are an amazing family! Your posts make me laugh and cry all at the same time!
ReplyDeleteLeng and anonymous should find another forum to vent their venom.
ReplyDeleteBonds, hope you are all doing great. Can't imagine why you're not posting more, Elisa. All of this love you/ stalk you weirdness must be inspiring.
ReplyDelete"I don't know what the future holds, but I know who holds the future."
ReplyDeleteThinking of you.
I have been following your posts and appreciate your honesty and willingness to share so much of what you've been through. I hope things are calm/ stable and everything is well :)
ReplyDeleteThinking of you from Oklahoma and hoping that your family is well. And also praying that, whatever your specific needs may be at this time, they will be met.
ReplyDeleteSending you blossoming crab apple, pear, lilies of the valley, bleeding hearts, hyacinths and even baby lettuce from Boulder, CO.
ReplyDeleteWishing you all a blessed Easter!!!
ReplyDeleteNathan, Elisa and Sadie:
ReplyDeleteI have been following your post for over a year now. I'm so sorry to hear of your recent setback, but want you all to know I think of you often and pray for your healing and that you all can be at peace. Your blog is an inspiration to all of us to live our lives to the fullest and to be grateful for the little things. Take care and we hope to hear good news soon! Lisa Whalen
